Since the start of this Russia/Ukraine strife, I’ve had cause to agree with Diane Abbott - something completely unprecedented in my whole life. Now I’m having to agree with someone else in the Labour ranks that I never ever thought I would find common cause with, because I’ve despised literally everything she has ever said and done until now.
Yes. Well.. that is… no. There should be no investigation. He should be summarily kicked out of the House of Lords and then we can get into whether he should be kicked out of the country and the London Evening Standard put up for grabs on Ebay.
If they can take Shamima Begum’s passport for being a dumb bitch when she was 15 years old, they can take this dude’s passport off him too.
But, in the inevitable absence of decisive action from these fat, greedy, pig-fucking Tory cunts, looking into the whole business would be a good start. This dude is the Moscow-born son of a guy who was a big potato in the KGB. He became a dual British/Russian citizen in 2010 - under circumstances probably related to giving large amounts of money to the Tory party and to buying a hugely influential London newspaper with money that came from fuck-knows-where-but-almost-certainly-ill-gotten.
Until I saw his fizzog on the news the other day, I had no idea this motherfucker was sitting in the House of Lords, where they get to vote on government legislation that dictates how you and I must live. I’d almost rather have women and darkies calling the shots in the upper legislature than one of these corrupt, scheming Rusky twats.
As if we needed any more proof that the whole edifice of our political system needs the doors locking and a megaton of napalm dropping on it, followed by a crafty fag round the back.
And while we were all busy with the small matter of our whole way of life being put in a skip in 2020, that blubbering shitmonkey Johnson was brushing concerns under the carpet to ensure that this guy got a peerage.
The Sunday Times reported that the security services had initially raised concerns about the appointment, causing the House of Lords Appointment Committee (HoLAC) to advise against it.
The Government says "stringent" procedures were followed throughout.
Mr Johnson allegedly objected to the advice, describing it as “anti-Russianism”, and the security warning was withdrawn, the newspaper said.
And here’s Dominic Raab to the rescue - a Tory politician I was fucking stupid enough to think until less than 2 years ago would be a decent man and show some integrity.
Dominic Raab, the Justice Secretary, said his appointment to the Lords had been through a "very strict and stringent" process.
“I don't know the facts of the case, I wasn't involved in it. But I do know that it was applied very rigorously in this case,” he said.
Where do you even begin with that?
[Lebedev] had maintained friendship with Boris Johnson since the late 00s,[23] with Lebedev's Evening Standard going all out in support of Johnson as the Mayor of London.[21] Johnson has been reported to have attended vodka and caviar parties hosted by Alexander and Evgeny Lebedev in the UK and Italy throughout the 2010s.[23] Their relationship caused concern in the UK's security circles who assessed both Johnson and Lebedev as security risks.[21] According to Byelinetimes, the evaluation of Evgeny Lebedev as a security risk changed in June 2020, the decision allegedly having been pushed through by Cabinet Office officials.[24]
I’m about at the point where I’m gonna start campaigning for Labour to win the next election. It’s not as if things under that useless shower of dipshits could be any worse or any more insulting or more ruinous to the British people, is it? If Starmer was PM, would lockdowns have been any worse? Would the green crap and the money printing and the cronyism have been any worse? Would the disarray and incompetence have been any worse? I’m not at all convinced that it would have been. Either way, Johnson and his entire army of shitbags need to be driven into the sea at the point of a bayonet.
If even half of the news coming out of the Ukraine and Russia is true (and it’s not at all clear that it is), how can we trust Johnson and anyone under him to be at all true and loyal to Britain? Just how? We can’t, can we.
The mood in this country has to be moving in the direction that it did in the mid-90s where every single person with a morsel of decency decides the Tories have to go, whatever the alternative ends up being - we were under little illusion about what we were voting for in 1997 as we rushed to shore up our finances and fix our mortgage rates before holding our noses and voting Labour in huge numbers. And whatever Blair managed to do, it’s still not at all clear that things would have been better if those corrupt, useless Tory fucks had clung onto power a minute longer than they did.
I’m actually glad of the idiot Katie Glass’s latest tales of pathetic self-sabotage to cheer me up after reading about Lebedev & the Tories.
